Deaths
Finny (Josephina) Kabiling passed away at age 66 on the feast of the Transfiguration, August 6, 2013. She and her husband, Andy, were long time Ave Maria Founders and moved from Marco Island to the Emerson Park neighborhood of Ave Maria after the town opened. In addition to Andy, Josephina is survived by her daughters Josephine and Jasmine and 7 grandchildren. In addition she has siblings in the Philippines. A memorial Mass will be held in the Ave Maria Oratory at Noon, Oct. 16.
Nancy Fay Tatman, mother of former Ave Maria pastor Robert Tatman, died Friday, July 5 at the age of 71. She lived in North Port, Fla., after moving from Champaign, Ill.
Mrs. Tatman was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Decatur, Ill. The daughter of Ralph and Ruth Coble, Nancy married the love of her life, patrolman for the Champaign Police Department, Robert L. Tatman, on May 31, 1958. Killed in the line of duty, he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1967.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Debra (Alan) Larson, Fr. Robert L. Tatman Jr., Daniel (Lori) Tatman and Sue (Michael) Sansone; four grandchildren, Michael Larson, Lisa (Dustin) Williams, Elizabeth Sansone and Jenna Wilde; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Williams and Charlie Williams; and many extended family members who loved her and will miss her motherly care so much.
A Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at San Antonio Catholic Church, Port Charlotte, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent DePaul Society, San Antonio Catholic Church. A reception will follow and anyone attending is asked to RSVP to 941-624-3799.
Fr. Mayer has suggested spiritual boquets from Ave Maria residents and cards can be left with him in the parish office or in the sacristy.
Births
Cindy and Ian Northon are happy to announce that Austin Thomas (right) arrived 6:11 p.m. on May 28th at 5 lbs. 6 oz. and 19.5". Baby and Mom are resting comfortably at home.
Felix and Ann Barba welcomed their first child, Gabriel Christian Barba (left) on May 15, 2013. Felix resides on the AMU campus as Residence Director of St. Maria Goretti Hall. Ann worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs before taking time off for the birth. They both send thanks to everyone for their prayers, and praise to God for a healthy, beautiful son.

The Vasquez triplets of Bellera -- Kealan, Ian, and Madison -- turned 13 on June 26. They're pictured here with their two dogs, Annabelle and Maxie.
Bobby and Rosie Oshinsky, long-time Del Webb residents, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Michigan on May 26, 2012 with a beautiful Mass blessed by Pastor Joe Gemanla of St. Malachy Parish in Warren Michigan. The event, including a reception afterward, was a surprise thrown by their children Michael, Marty and Tracy and grand daughter Krystal. Adding the surprise: a strong showing of friends from Ave Maria who traveled to Michigan for the event. Bob & Rosie were married on May 26, 1962 at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Detroit Michigan. Madeline Fallucca, the mother of sisters Nancy Freeman and Cookie Olander of Bellera, celebrated her 90th birthday with family Sunday, April 22, at the Tidewater Clubhouse in Del Webb. In the picture, Mrs. Fallucca, who lives in Naples, is seated with Mrs. Freeman (left), Mrs. Olander and their brother Joe Fallucca.

Sofia Marie Freeman, the 14th grandchild of Carlos and Ame Figueroa of Del Webb, on March 23 in Manchester, PA. Daughter Vivianne and
husband Josh are introducing Sophia to her two-year old brother Thomas—who, as shown in this photo, is quite taken with his baby sister! Vivianne was assisted in the birth by Charlene Doman, her older sister, who lives in Ave Maria. Charlene is a RN who recently started her own business working as a Doula within the communities of Ave Maria kids!

Patty and Oscar Fernandez celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary Feb. 8. They moved to Hampton Village in Ave Maria five years ago with their three children: Cassie, Cristina and Daniel. (the family is pictured at right)
Births
Mary-Grace Elizabeth Allan (left) born Nov. 19. She weighted 6 lbs, 3 oz. Her mother, Chelsea Allan, owns the store By Way of the Family in the Ave maria town center; father Scott Allan has the chiropractic practice next door to By Way of the Family.
Felicity Jane Huber (right) born to Gary and Christine Huber on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2011. She was 9 lbs, 2 oz and 21 inches long. After a 10-day stay in the NCH NCIU, she is completely healthy.
Alana Raiger (right), daughter of Caitlin and Michael Raiger of Hampton Village, born Dec. 16 -- the Raiger's 10th child. Dr. Caitlin McLaughlin-Raiger has the Ave Maria Dentistry practice in town and Michael is an English professor at AMU.
Baptisms

Sarah Forero, daughter of Luis Forero and Verónica Abondano (mother and daughter pictured right), baptized Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Ave Maria Oratory. Luis and Verónica moved to Hampton Village from Key Biscayne earlier this year with their family, which also includes Micaela, 5, Candelaria, 3 and Lucia, almost 2.
Deaths
Irene Ford, one of the first residents of Ave Maria, passed away the morning of October 12 at age 94. Irene lived on the third floor at 5080 Annunciation Circle from July 1, 2007 to February 2009, when she entered a senior care facility in Naples. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Garrity at the Ave Maria Oratory at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 24, 2012.

illiam P. Dunstan III (left), who resided with his parents Carole and Bill Dunstan in Del Webb at Ave Maria, died Dec. 6 after battling cancer for several years. He was 40 years old. Click here for obituary from the Naples Daily News.
Edward Francis Cole (right) of Hampton Village in Ave Maria died Dec. 5 after a brief illness at age 84. Mr. Cole leaves his wife, Marilyn, his three children and three stepchildren. He and Marilyn were among the first residents of the town of Ave Maria. Click here for full obituary. Ed's daughter Marti also has written to the Ave Maria community, expressing her gratitude.
