The process leading to directly electing at least one seat on the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District will take at least an extra month due to a need to revise a map showing the amount of "urban area," the district supervisors were told at their monthly meeting Tuesday. The board also voted to approve the budget for the coming fiscal year.

A majority of the board of the Rhodora J. Just a month after the board of the Donahue Academy of Ave Maria told parents it was pleased that Headmaster Mark Jahnke would return in that position next year, the board said that instead it would search for a new headmaster and Mr. Jahnke would return to teaching at the K-12 Catholic school.

Ave Maria high school student JP Klucik is off to New York to participate in a one-week Summer Leadership Experience program at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The program accepts only a fifth of the 5,000 high school juniors who apply.
